My assumption is that its a problem with the internal USB hub that pretty much everything runs through on a MBP, but has anyone else been having issue coming back from either standby or hibernate and loosing your mouse, keyboard, or both?
I know the system hasn't frozen because I can press the power button and it will start the shutdown process. The most recent time this happened I only lost the mouse and was able to keyboard into device manager. The mouse was still listed, I removed it, redetected it, no go.
This almost, IMHO sounds like a hub driver problem. I definitely know its something with USB since when the system comes back from sleep/hib you can hear the bing/bongs going nuts as the various comp of the system are reconnected.
IMHO putting everything on USB was a real piss poor decision by Apple.
PS- The system is a C2D MBP.
