should be a quick question... i'd investigate myself, but i havent gotten my intel mac yet and wanted to start playing with the boot media

does the XOM.efi loader come before, after, or replace the bootloader for OSX? specifically, if you use key commands (option booting to bring up a list of bootable devices, for example), does the devices list come up before the XOM bootloader, after you select the OSX boot option, or not at all?

I think I get what you're asking...

When you boot OS X all commands that normally work (like holding C to boot from cd, d for diagnostics CD, and eject to eject CD) do work.

Yes they do work. And one way of thinking is that the menu that comes when you keep Option pressed actually lists hard drives and is independent of whether there is an OS on them or not. Therefore, it has nothing to do with the content of a disk, which is what was modified when we blessed the xom.efi file.
