Ive installed Vista on my MacBook Pro and when im trying to install the Macdriver from the cd i burned in bootcamp i get a message that that the installation cant finish. So, the setup ends leaving just a few driver installed. Anyone got the same problem?
The windows that pops says:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Feature transfer error"

Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation.

Consult Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more information.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
This happens in the end of the installation when the setup say something like "rollback action"

All you need to do is run the installer with the /A /v switches after it. This will just install the drivers to a directory, rather than doing it all automatically. Once this is done, go to your device manager and udpate each broken device by hand.

can you elaborate on the syntax of that?

The installer is an .exe, so do you add the a v swtiches after that?

This is something I have been trying to figure out so I could update the individual components as you mentioned.

Thanks

Run it from the command line (Run-->"cmd"-->enter, or click run). The use "cd" to change directories. when you're in the directory containing the exe file, type it's name, then the "slash" parameters.

If you think that sounds complicated, it is. I'm inclined to believe that the Boot Camp developers were making a subtle jab at Microsoft when they created this method.

Heres a good guide on installing Bootcamp drivers in Vista.
Including the /A /v method mentioned above.

Worked for me!

Vista RTM via Boot Camp (http://www.geocities.com/nja469/)

I can install iSight driver in Vista, but iSight can not used by MSN or Skype, everyone get this all the same?

BTW, how about the driver of "Performace counter"?
