Anyone planning on or looking forward to upgrading to Leopard? if so why?

Both planning and looking forward to it. Why? Because I'm a computer geek, of course! :D
No... seriously; that really is the only reason. If I relied upon my home Mac for anything important... then there's absolutely no chance I'd upgrade it until the 10.5.1 update is released -- and that's by no means a slam against Apple; that's just a fact of life with all software updates. Anybody who has been reading forum posts for any software product will know that dot-zero updates can sometimes be a real pain.

I too am looking forward to Leopard. I don't have much on my MBP (just bought it a couple of weeks ago) so looking forward to testing out it's new stuff like integrated bootcamp (I am still playing games in XP like Obliviion and C&C) and Time Machine looks interesting. The integrated quicklook and updated finder looks like it will be ultra useful too. It's a shame that the games support on the Mac isn't as good as the PC but I guess we can't have everything.

But being that you are looking forward to running Bootcamp and such, would that mean you do have everything?

From one point of view, I would agree with you that his comment does sound somewhat contradictory -- but flip your mindset on end for a moment, and think of it this way: Running games in BootCamp is actually the compromise. "Having everything" could be viewed as not needing to put up with Microsoft Windows in the first place, and still being able to run all of the games on your Mac.
(Of course, I can easily topple my own argument by pointing out that you can't run Wii games or XBox games or PlayStation games... on any of the previously mentioned platforms, unless the developer takes the time to port it, which obviously doesn't always happen... so I guess the bottom line is that there's just no such thing as a "perfect world" for avid video gamers on a budget, eh?)

When you put it that way, it makes all the sense it needs to :)

Have you heard about the support for Mac games? Both EA and id are onboard, and hopefully more will follow, still not as much support still won't be as great as Windows, but it's a start.
