My installation of Windows XP Pro SP2 randomly hangs (completely, can't even move the mouse). It happened when using DOSBox, Virtual PC, Media Player Classic, PowerDVD, or just copying a file. My Mac OS X 10.4.10 still runs great, so I can rule out hardware failure. If it helps, after logging in, the desktop is blank and does nothing until I hit the spacebar. The freezing started 2 or 3 days ago and is a real pain. I have 2.9GB free on C and I have 1GB of RAM.
