i forgot windows xp password.....i have very important data in that computer....i am not get the solution for this...please can anyone help me in this,,,,,i have searced in the net and downloaded the "active password changer" software.....i installed this in my computer...it is showing the user accounts but when i am trying to reset the password...it is asking me to buy that software........can anyone show me the solution...please... i have very important data in that computer.if possible u can mail me on [ santu78j | at | indiatimes.com.......tHANK YOU BYE

download hiren boot CD from internet and try running the CD when your system boots.

Press control+alt+dell twice, the window of old fashioned user choice will appear. Write "Administrator" or "administrator" - try both, if you will be victorious :), he will log you as administrator from there you will be able to change your user's password ;) If you don't log as an admin, so reboot your XP in safe mode, there you will find administrator among the user choice list, log as administrator and change your user's password form the control panel.
