Has anyone tried to run Cedega on an Intel Mac? It apparently allows Linux users to play Windows games natively!

I've never heard of that before, but it seems really cool! I'm curious how it works.

I personally haven't installed Linux on my system but may at a later date.

Are you talking about running Cedega on OSX on an Intel Mac, or through Windows (or Linux) installed on an Intel Mac? The first version won't work, the latter should work without a problem once the proper drivers are in place. The reason the first won't work is because Cedega is based on WINE, and WINE does not run without modification in OSX. That is called DarWINE, but is not as complete as WINE, and there is no CrossOver Office or Cedega available for OSX yet.

Iv been a Linux user for 3 years now (Windows for 8 and Mac for 4) and Cedega and Wine are great products. Cedega can run pretty much 70% of Windows games and 90% of all major hit games like Battlefield 2 and Halflife 2. Be great once they make the version of Cedega for Mac, it will open more doors for the Mac gaming community. Just one bad thing thats also been affecting the Linux world and getting a lot of criticism over is that Cedega and Wine stop native gaming or software, meaning if it works in Cedega or Wine why make it native? Then you have some companies like Valve that makes updates that literary attacks Cedega to make Steam stop working on it.
