I wrote an Applescript application that simply runs a few shell scripts to copy the correct xom file based on the user selecting the machine type, and also offers to make the slipstreamed CD. Nothing fancy, however it has been tested in my MBP and my 20" iMac. Some things to note...
You need to do the F4 F7 thing on the 20" iMac to get past the initial install
You need to re-run the utiliy and select "Laptop" "MacBook Pro" after you install a mini to put the original xom.efi back on.
This is all based on the forums of information, I do not have a mini to test, but I did pull down the mini and iMac version of xom.efi.
Also, this utility allows you to revert your system back to non XOM mode (removes xom.efi and blesses boot.efi).
Please let me know here if there are any problems with it. There is nothing fancy here just a cumultive effort based on the forums and to help my own tinkering 8-).
I will post the dmg and instructions shortly in this topic. After my test test slipstreamed CD is done burning.
