AutoDesk 3DS Max 8 runs!

I just posted to the Wiki that I have installed one of our licensed copies of Autodesk 3ds Max 8 onto our 17" iMac and it runs extremely well in software rendering mode. Our head animator and creative director said he was "Extremely impressed" with the performance in software mode (chosen when you first start the program up after install). We just rendered a 100 frame, 35,000 polygon 640x480 animated walk cycle movie with water ripples movie using the MS Video 1 codec in 3 minutes 30 seconds. The performance in software mode is more than passable ... identical to a 3GHz PC! Fantastic!!!!
