I know this has nothing to do with XP on windows but:
I'm in the habit of shutting down my MacBook, and then closing the screen before it's fully shut down. But this puts it in sleep mode right in the middle of shut down. So when I open the lid up, it has the finish shutting down, and then I have to restart it again.
Is there a setting to disable the auto-sleep function when it's in the process of shutting down?
Does sleep use up lots of battery power on the MBP, like it does on Windows notebooks (hence the added hibernate mode)? Or is it as battery-conservative as hibernate mode on the windows notebooks?
Cheers!
