Hi!
I've installed xp sucessfully(after having a lot of problems), but right after that I cannot start xp properly....... It's hanging at the black screen, where you can just see about 10 Hexa-decimal-codes....
I don't know what I've done wrong.......:(

I had this problem originally. It seems it might have been cause by my failure to properly partition the drive. Apparently the drive must be partitioned with the Mac Disk Utility- partitioning with the windows utility resulted in the black screen with the hex codes at some kind of command prompt. Re-partitioning from the Mac utility and following the instructions to a T worked.
HOWEVER, I now am back to the same problem! After several days of successful use of Windows (installed updates, joined a domain, installed Office) I am back to the problem again! I am not sure what caused it to fail again but I believe the right command at the prompt would resume the loading of the OS.
Any help would be appreciated!

after searching the forums I found that the screen with the hexidecimal entries and a command prompt is some kind of debug. pressing "g" then enter proceeds with the boot (actually I had to do it twice to make it boot). A post said this was a known bug scheduled to be fixed in v.2.
