The page says they have graphic support. Anyone want to try this and post benchmarks?

Oh my god!
I didn't expect an official solution by Apple (now)! Sounds great, does Apple win the contest for vga-drivers? I'm sure they need the money :D

Whoever does test it for bookmarks will probably have to completely re format the HDD because people who have already used the OnMac solution are having difficulties with this.

This must be my lucky day. My MacBookPro arrived this morning, and just after I had formatted the hard drive (and created two partitions) I read this post to realise Apple has just released a solution!
Am now in the process of reinstalling Mac OS X for the 2nd time and will then experiment with Boot Camp. Am in a fabulous situation because I have not had to worry about burning CDs, drivers etc.
Will post my thoughts once I have XP installed.

...and claim the prize money. They've clearly earned it.

i was also on tech support for hours regarding the firmware patch. eventually i just gave up with them, and was told to wait for an updated firmware.
the video driver doesnt work on my imac...
i ripped the exe driver package out of the dmg and installed...
i guess because the firmware wont install, the video driver doesnt work, the sound driver does however... well at least my speakers work.
also read the boot camp very carefully!!! it may be advantageous to stick with onamc's solution for now... wouldnt want your bootcamp to expire after 30 days or so for eg.. from: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303572

I read the license agreement and there is no limitation on time installed, just on distribution beyond Apple.

It won't work if you have "bless"ed the xom.efi file. It also wont work if you already have 2 or more partitions.
Instructions:
1.backp important data(on external hd/another computer/ipod)
2. Put in the install disc that came with your mac.
3. Open utilities/disk utility
4. Erase entire HD and put 1 partition on it.
5. Install OSX(if there is an erroe at the disk selection screen that says that you can't install because os x can't boot from the drive, just erase it again)
6. Use software update
7. download the firmware update for the computer you own.
8.run the firmware update progran and !Shutdown! when prompted.
9.when the computer is shut down, look for the light that "snorze" when your computer is asleep. Press and hold the power button until the light begins to blink.
10. Wait for it to install the firmware(you should hear a long off-key beep, maybe a chime, and you should see the logo and a progress bar(not a spinning gear).
11. download and install bootcamp.
12. burn the drive cd
13. run bootcamp and fallow instructions.

I have installed this, after reformatting everything.
I have installed World of Warcraft. I get 20~30FPS in Iron Forge (the most densly populated area.)
This is roughly the same response I get from the OSX install, so this is a good thing. I am going to try to install F.E.A.R. next week.
I am running a MacBook Pro 1.83Ghz with 1.5gigs of Ram.
So far so good!

thnx for the instructions rayne!
i think i'll just wait, hopefully a firmware upgrade will be able to install with those issues fixed. ideally i'd like to install linux also, and i'd need 4 partitions for that.

Man I hate to be negative...but I wish people would at least ATTEMPT to get their facts straight before they spew garbage.
