I'm tryiing to isntall windows using Bootcamp. I resetup my Mac Mini Core Duo completly and let bootcamp partition the fresh install. Now eveything is fine until the windows installer has copied all files. Then monitor just goes black (no signal) and nothin happens. Also tried it with a second windows cd. this one does not even start copiing but goes black instantly.

Both are windows xp cds of which I used the first to install using xom successfully. Both are german versions btw.

i had the same problem, if you wait long enough the machine will restart itself then Windows setup should continue normally.

How long did that take? I waited for like 10 minutes or so. Also was that on the mini? If so can u give me some updates about audio and dvi already?

Thanx

I have no reason to do this on my mini. MacMini's are fully functional with XOM.efi every single driver works.

My mini works great with xom, i am having problems with Bootcamp and my MBP.

Did you install the new drivers?

Because as you probably know the audio drivers on the mini has issues and as far as i know u can not change the resolution using dvi.

Update:
I got the hint that worked from irc. It was a monitor issue. Aparently the resolution the setup tries to open is not supported. Which is something i would never have thought off because setup works fine when doing it on a pc with that monitor.

Anyway using my second monitor everything seems to work now.
