bootcamp: Windows setup crashes (or stalls) quickly

Everything goes great with boot camp up until my win xp install disk takes over. The first time I tried it, I got the blue setup screen which was cool and it was loading stuff.. but it stalled and crapped out while loading some universal thing. So I tried again, and again, and again, and now all i get is a black screen and maybe a blinking cursor.

I've tried deleting the partition and starting the process all over again, but still no luck. Any ideas?
