How about some new forums for Boot Camp installs?

Used boot camp last night to install XP, for some reason I kept getting an error while trying to install sxs.dll, i was using my backup copy of xp though, so I swapped it for my original cd and all was well.

I like the way the sleep/pulse light works with windows suspend too. Thats cool.

Had one blue screen right after installing MSN Messenger 7.5, but none since.

I still feel kind of dirty running windows on my mac, but at least it means I can get rid of my pc now...anyone interested? www.ebay.......

Also just to confirm that volume licence disks work with boot camp, so my iMac at work now has XP too.

Cheers all. Thanks to B and N for making apple release bootcamp so quickly.

I am an Apple tech in Australia and i also have ties to the local schools. They all use the VLK disks. I installed XP Pro on a new 20" and it worked great. Until i tried to fire up the iSight. It even played Battlefield 2 very nice.

With the amount of posts cropping up about bootcamp it is taking alot away the board and flooding it with "how do i do this" and "this doesnt work". Having this on a sepearte board will keep the real programmers happy without being flooded

Just my opinion

Though there is not much that I can say about the subject you people are talking about but there are so many issues that keep coming on my mind because I am also on the lookout for some of the specific informations on the OS troubleshooting. Can someone help me in this aspect!
