can't get counter strike to run!!

hey there guys i can't get counter strike to run on my boot camped MPB using xp pro sp2!!!

any one else have this issue???

this is all i want xp for!!:mad:

will check the counter strike web site for updates with multi processors!!

it is the cond zero version i'm using!!

go to steampowered.com and install steam. Let it download the apps that you want. I actually copied my existing XP Steam folder from another PC and although it has all my settings (keyboard mappings, etc) it still had to download from steam the CS:S files. But it works. I do have some video artifacts but that could be because I'm using dual monitors on my iMac. Its getting about 51fps in the video stress test, haven't played online yet.

It's not a dual cpu issue. I have counter strike (condition zero) and counter strike source running on my dual athlon. Also i had both running on my Mac mini core duo under xom. Can't test with Bootcamp cuase it doesn work *honk honk*. I hate my Mac.

Have you removed the XOM installation entirely before trying BootCamp, I mean with complete erase of the HD (to reinitialize the partition table), reinstall of OS X and then installation of BootCamp?

hey can you link that folder i don't wana sign up for steam yet i just wana play counter strike i can't even get the app to launch!!!

as a side note if your using the MBP then get the omega driver and the beta ati tool and overclock that SOB!!
