I don't know about anyone else , But I'd like to see a sticky thread with alternative drivers for bootcamp,

So far, I'm looking for a new driver for the MacBook Pro sound that will re-route sound..(MacBook wont disable internal speakers when plugged into headphones etc..)

For headphone support, but no internal speaker support (ie. the reverse of Boot Camp driver) just install the driver suggested at http://wiki.onmac.net/index.php/Users/Drivers after you install the Boot Camp drivers.

I was getting wireless drop outs all the time using the Windows XP configuration utility. So I went and did a google search for Atheros Utility.
I found it rather easily, installed it, setup my profile and wireless hasn't dropped since.

Here is the link I found.

http://www.funchords.com/Atheros_4.1.2.71.zip

The MAC driver version is 4.12.133 but this version seems to be working rather nicely.

If anyone can find the newest driver/utility please post.

I forgot to mention that I'm running a MBP 2.0

I get Blue Screens with those drivers. Bascially they work ok, but every once in a while, without noticeable reason my Mini crashes to blue screen with and error message idetifiing this driver. So I will go back to the old ones.

Actually, that's what you get when you use unsigned and incompatible drivers. I don't remember the last time I had a blue screen on my 24/7 heavy duty desktop...

I only use the Apple drivers, and I also get blue screens on occasion. Like bgd, I do not get blue screens on my work Thinkpad, which gets much heavier use.

Overall, it's a beta. Problems are expected, regardless of the drivers. Personally, I'll choose to use ones that are at least theoretically more stable. ;) However, if people want to experiment with other drivers, configurations, etc, more power and instability to them.

Which drivers cause your bluescreens on the Mac? The Wireless drivers as well? I had problems with wireless using xom and the drivers recommended here already.

It was actually difficult to track down; the DLL implicated showed up in searches as anything from related to sound to USB. Sadly, I don't have the DLL name, but next time it happens I'll be sure to write it down.

I had a blue screen when I first booted after installing the Apple Driver CD. Pressing the Power button shut down normally. Then I booted in Safe Mode (Press F8 after selecting Windows through Option) and set the resolution properly. Video has worked flawlessly since. I also ran the 3D tests and they all ran perfectly on the MacBook Pro (I don't play games though).
