Has anyone tried the beta of Parallels VM software for the Intel Macs? I think many people are interested in running Win/Lin etc. alongside Mac OS X. This just came out today, just wondering if someone could try it out and report on performance.

I've got it running right now. In fact I'm writing this in WinXP within a window on my MacBook Pro. Very cool!

I've just had it running a short time so I can't tell too much about performance yet. I haven't tried installing any extra drivers yet either. Right now performance seems pretty good. I can resize video but no adapter is indicated in the control panel. I don't have sound so I'm wondering if I should install the bootcamp sound drivers. I'll give it a shot and let you know. I'm also going to DL a few other things to run it through the paces.

Stay tuned...

Tried it on my Dual Mini; No filesharing between OSX & XP, mute system (no sound or audio input), CD support is spotty at best (even with Beta 2), Bluetooth does not work, and I still haven't gotten VLC or SMB file sharing to work between the two.
