I'm in the same boat of a lot of you -- I installed the XOM solution and now want to wipe it out and use Boot Camp. Here are the steps I took:
1. Used these instructions: http://forum.onmac.net/showthread.php?t=726 to remove XOM.
2. Backed up Mac partition as a bootable disk image
3. Booted my MacBook in Target Disk mode, and using Disk Utility on another mac restored to a single partition and restored the disk image.
So now my MacBook only has a single GUID partition, but when I try and start Boot Camp I get this message:
"Your startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition.
Your startup disk must be formatted as a single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume or already partitioned by Boot Camp Assistant for installing Windows."
I thought this was what I did. Any ideas?
