hey everyone, here is what i got for the 30Mark06 results:

1712 3DMarks

SM2.0 Score: 613
HDR/SM3.0 Score: 627
CPU Score 1678

and i got what i expected really ... the x1600 is a good card, but not really a hardcore gamers card... also i tried the Doom 3 demo and that worked good. worked OK on 1280x1024 (wouldnt work at 1600x1200) and at the highest quality... only got some skipping like 15-20fps... lowered the quality a little bit and it worked great...

if i could open the file and post what i got i would, but here is what it says in breif...

GT1 - 4.725fps
GT2 - 5.494fps
HDR1- 5.585fps
HDR2- 6.955fps
CPU1- 0.532fps
CPU2- 0.847fps

not so high, but again ... i dont know what they should be...

this is also the demo because i dont have the full version...

thanks

On my 2.0 MBP, which has 256MB VRAM, I was only getting about 1300 3Dmarks. Am I doing something wrong?

I ran it on my iMac 17" 1.83GHz/512Mb/128Mb/160Gb

I got 1683 3Dmarks.

Make sure you've closed everything down you don't need including anti-virus, messenger, firewalls, tray apps and if you can disconnect any net or network connection.

On my 20" imac 256MB X1600 I installed omega radeon drivers and used ATI TOOL to O/C to 450 on the CPU and got 1883, playing FEAR with good results

again what we need to remember is that this isnt a gaming PC... when they come out with the intel "G5" desktops (or whatever they call them) that'll be a good test for the 3dmark and stuff... but these are just high-end laptops really... atleast the iIMacs are...

But this is the first generation of consumer laptops that is suitable for real gaming.

Overclocked to 430/470 and got over 2000 3DMarks. Totally rad! I want HL2!
