When my iMac 20" shuts down then boots to install XP, I get a black screen with the words....

"Error booting from CD/DVD drive.
Press any key to reboot..._"

and it seems to not recongnize the keyboard, because pressing any key doesn't do anything.

does it sound like my install disc is f'ed up?

any help?

thanks

I partitioned my disk so that there is one HFS+, one Unix(should work with linux), and one FAT32 partition with diskutil. (In this Order, so XP is last)

I tried to install windows, and got the option to keep the partition table exactly, when installing windows, and therefore installed directly on the FAT32 partition that I made with the Disk Utility.

When restarting after the CD installation is complete, I get the same error. Is the problem related to my unusual partitioning of my drive?

thanks
