I am having this same exact issue. I do not have the same partition style as the instructions have. I have 3 partitions with Windows being the last partition. But it appears it can find the partition, "HDBoot: Found valid boot sector on partition #3. Booting..." then it loads what mpakos described and doesn't boot windows. I am running this on a Mac Mini 1.66Ghz Core Duo.

i also have done first the hfs+ and second the fat and during the installation was ok except one file that couldnt be copied the "asycfilt.dll" and i ignore it.i think this doesnt have anything to do with the windows but with the patch that runs before.maybe is designed to look at a exact place and continue loading.i boot with safe mode and stuck again but with no errors from the windows.

Actually the only way i get a dash is if I hold a key after selecting the windows flag... Otherwise... the screen freezes...

samsdb0

it should freeze. it should freeze for about 3 minutes. if you see it doing nothing after 2 minutes, then press enter

I'm using a MacBook Pro. I'm able to get through the first phase of the install. After the reboot, I eject the disc and select windows at the OS prompt. The Windows icon kind of flips sideways (probebly normal) but then hangs. I've waited for 10 minutes (used a clock) 3 times now and no luck, the install never finishes. Any ideas?

I seem to get to the same spot. finish install, then when it boots it will have the white bar that moves across then just freeze at what looks the same as the screen shot above, have no idea after that.\

I've waited 3 mins nothing, pressed enter, nothing, tried g and enter nothing? This is getting frustrating my 3rd try already

I suppose that i have the same problem on my MBP 2GHz, hd 7200 rpm. I have installed apparently without problems my WinBorg 5.0 slipstreamed but when i reboot after the 2d step of the install, IIRC the first boot which load windows, the boot hang after 10 calls to int 13,48 and 2 times this instruction:
2000:063D: Write DCHS(128:299:25:15)L1 @00030000, LBA 004951A0
I'm waiting... but this is really long. I had, and perhaps this is wrong, reserved another partition (currently unformatted) at the end of the disk to install a Linux when it will feasible, perhaps the problem come from here ?
A lot of drivers has been installed by the WinBorg XP dist according to the setupapi.log file, perhaps some of them cause the hang. I search a solution but if you have any idea, please share it! Thanks in advance, and thanks to the donators and the dev team,
Best regards,

EDIT: It appears that i have wrongly merged the untattend install files. I will try again with a new iso. (ps: for those who don't know WinBorg XP is a windows pro sp2 dvd with a lot of software preinstalled)

Hi all,

WinXP borg work with XOM, if you take care to merge the text files of XOM in the ones of WinXP Borg* (or other windwos distros like MCE i guess) (*.sif, ...) instead of overwritting them. Well, i let the install finish and hope that a lot of hardware will be recognized.

I'm having the same issue with a macbook, 1.83, 1gig ram. i'm starting to think it's due to the partions being in the wrong order. i first tried making the partitions as instructed, with the fat one first, but os x installer didn't like the options it was given and didn't allow me to install the os anywhere. whe i put the hfs+ partition first, everything worked. os x installed. windows installed. windows never booted.

I did the g thing twice and windows loaded! so it's not the partition thing. now i've gotta find network drivers.

I have the same issue.. does any one know what it is and where it comes from ? Pressing "g" helps, but i have to do this now everytime i boot winxp.
If you press "q" in this "command line" instead of "g" you get something like a bios where you can set different parameters...
