Hello Everyone. :o

I got Windows Media Center 2005 Strip-down to about 500mbs
with only the essientials.

I wondering will it work. Becuase I heard reports of other user running MCE
2005 smoothly. My Mac Mini burn an iso file of it I just hope it works.

My question is I got Apple Firmware Password turn on ? Will it Work.
Is on my MacBook Pro. I can't turn off Apple Firmware password unless I do
physical access by upgrade the ram > ( Apple Techincain told me)

Will I be able to hold alt on startup of the mac and be able to Boot into a partition ??. Because I'm able to boot from my Tiger DVD by restart my Mac
and hold the alt key and put my password and be able to mess with the Tiger Installer.

O One more thing. Is there a free program for Windows XP to control the MacBook Pro if it get hot ?? You know fan control.

Thank for your coperation of reading my post. :)

I have MCE 2005 installed on my MacBook Pro. What I did was copy CD#2 to my external USB hard drive. When it gets to the point where it tells you to insert CD#2, change the location to the external hard drive.

I got Windows MCE 2005 sucessfully install on my System.

But there is no Sound support. I did install the Macintosh Drivers provided by
Apple.

But I think I did'nt run the wizard to install the SigmaTel sound driver.

I can't find that in the control panel but everything else install and work fined.

Airport Works,ATI video driver works,Bluetooth. I sure no see no redlight
comin from the audio jack. And I tried to reinstall the drivers. But no go
with the sound I don't here anything.

What should I do now ?? Does anyone have the Sigamatel Driver so I can
install and hear sound from my MacBook Pro Internal Speakers Please ??

I will really appreciated :o

[Updated] I found out I was running MCE 2002 Sp2. The SigmaTel drivers are install I see in
Control Panel , but still I hear no sound. I install a few programs and games. Vice City doesn't play
but F/18 Operation Iraq Freedom Works. How do you Print Screen which key is it??]

Go into the Device Manager and look all the way towards the bottom for a PCI Device with a yellow exclamation mark. Double click it and click the Reinstall drivers button. It should then installl the sound drivers.

I have MCE working great on iMac 20". Sound is ok, Speed is ok too (very fast), wireless and bluetooth works fine. No problem reports on installation or apple drivers. I'm using it with main display, nor tv or plasma connected.
volume control on apple keyboard works great. the only issue is that i mute mac to avoid chime on startup and doesn't work. that's happen in every restart situation (mac to pc, mac to mac, pc to pc, pc to mac)
