I saw on Version Tracker (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/29555) that Parallels released an update to their software today with the following bug fixes:

Kernel panic in network driver
Kernel panic when click "Report a problem" menu item
WiFi networking issues
Real CD/DVD issues
Fedora 5 installation crash

Still not ready for prime time, at least on my Dual Mini:
No Sound;
No audio input;
No Bluetooth;
No file sharing between OSX and XP;
CD Support still not consistent;
No support for writing CD/DVD media;
SLOW video;
VLC fails;
SMB seems not to work either (although I am still trying to get this to function).

Boot Camp has *none* of these shortcomings. The only issue that I uncovered with Boot Camp is the XP clock goes wonky when switching between OSX and XP. Fixed this with a little freeware application that automagically goes out and syncs with a timeserver on XP start-up.

True, Boot Camp is not the same as running both OSes simultaneously, but I prefer a solid XP environment to one that is almost working correctly.

Awesome! The only REAL issue I had with Beta1 was no Wifi support for me. Sounds like this may resolve that issue.

Also, as a note, having both my USB and bluetooth mouse connected in OSX resulted in BIG BIG, very bad crashes in parallels that brought down my whole system.

anyway... i may have to preorder this. Going to be a must have app for me i think.

For wifi you probably just had to change your bridge connection from en0 to en1

Nope. I tried that many times, even tried a clean install of XP with EN1 selected instead of EN0. Still no Wifi network connection. Installed Beta2, switched to en1 and checked wifi box, works like a charm. :)

I agree with Kitch. This has LOADS of potential but it still has a long way to go. Thus far, it has basically acted exactly like VPC did for the PowerPC. Which is not a good thing...
