Ok, I backed up my old 75gb xom partition before installing bootcamp using diskutil to my fireware external drive.
i then formated my mac, and reinstalled osx so that I could install the firmware update and bootcamp.
Then i formatted my hard disk with bootcamp to make the osx drive 75gb just like my backup.
Now im trying to restore my original backup using disk util and it doesnt allow me to drag the partition over. So i booted my old ibook up, it has tiger on it, and booted my mbp in firewire mode. It allows me to drag the device over, and begin the restore. But it takes an extreamly long time and it failed about halfway though. I have a feeling there is an easier way to do this, can someone please help?
