i'm thinking of buying a MacBook Pro and start enjoying life and using computers, instead of being a grumphy windows user.

The only challange is that i'm using Autocad, a drawing program, which isn't available for mac.

My question is if it's possible to run windows applications, like this autocad drawing program, under the new OS X on the MacBook Pro.

can someone help me on this?

A program built only for windows will not run native in osx, it would have to run on a virtual pc program, or you'd have to setup a duel boot system with windows and then boot into windows to use the cad program.. and then shut down when you want to get back in to osx for what ever reason.

Or use Parallel's Virtualization software...

or.. like the rest of us.. partition your drive, install windows one one side and OSX on the other using bootcamp due to ease...
go to the bootcamp section of this forum
seach the threads for tips like
getting right click functions,
restting the time clock automatically,
updating the intel chip driver
MS SP2 service update for core duo
and then simply log into windows whenever you need to use Autocad

while bootcamp is not perfect it works WAY better than any virtual software I have yet seen... IMHO
