"Starting Windows"-->Blank Screen

so far i have tried XP SP2, win2k3 R2, and regular XP....no dice with ANY of them

for all of them i get to the blue windows screen, it loads all the files, etc...then at the bottom it says "starting windows", followed by a completely blank screen. i have let it sit there upwards of 10 minutes with no response

fyi this is on mini duo with 2gb ram

I had the same problem. The reason for this was that my monitor could not display the resolution the Windows installer requested. Even though that particular monitor has no problems installing on a regular PC. When i used my second, slightly newer, monitor everything was ok.

does anyone know a workaround to this?

i dont have another monitor
