DirectX & ATI Catalyst

Hey, just got my MacBook Pro 17" so I'm new to Boot Camp & running XP it.

Was just wonderin' if it was safe to install DirectX DX and the latest Catalyst Drivers?

I'm sure it's cool but since Boot Camp is still BETA and the driver situation still seems a little dodgy just wanted to check with people around here.
